Myotherapy goes beyond rubbing tight, sore muscles to relieve stress and promote relaxation. The goal of myotherapy is to achieve overall muscle balance, postural alignment and bio mechanics. Myotherapy seeks to identify and eliminate "perpetuating factors" in the horse's environment, which cause and prolong muscle dysfunction. Massage is only one element of our comprehensive therapeutic program that includes muscle memory reeducation. Muscle memory reeducation is accomplished by employing a system of passive and active stretching, corrective movements and therapeutic exercise programs.
These techniques can enhance the performance of horse in any discipline and all areas of work; from dressage, jumping, roping, sorting, racing etc.
The non-invasive application of myotherapy enhances performance; reduces stress, promotes flexibility, increases endurance and accelerates injury normalization. |
